Woodland Park Zoo is excited to host the “Color Life Happy” special one-month art exhibit to benefit children participating in Seattle Children’s Hospital mental health programs and Woodland Park Zoo’s Saving Species Impact Fund. The collection by artist PaTan includes 14 original art pieces featuring endangered or threatened species. The art is made from “upcycled” crayons that the hospital is unable to sanitize for re-use because of the paper.
The exhibit is on display at Woodland Park Zoo in the Briar Oak barn from Saturday, May 1st through Wednesday, June 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The proceeds from the art sale will benefit the mental health programs at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Ways to “Color Life Happy” include donating to help animals below, entering to win one of the pieces, and/or purchasing one of the pieces! To view these one-of-a-kind pieces in person, please visit Woodland Park Zoo!
The Saving Species Impact Fund is dedicated to support the zoo’s Wildlife Survival Programs and Conservation Partner Programs that help conserve wildlife, preserve fragile habitats and increase public awareness for wildlife and environmental issues.
