Mars Rover

Mars Rover

Ever heard stories of a little robot that roams Mars? Well, one team is building just that. The Mars Rover will weigh less than 50 kg and fit in a 1.2 x 1.2-meter box. Along with this, it will possess the ability to drive over rough terrain using both manual controls or autonomously using various sensors. The challenges the rover must face include being manipulating a variety of objects and analyzing environmental factors to determine the absence or presence of life. All tasks will be set to a time limit. After placing 2nd in the University Rover Challenge in 2016, Rover has since been modifying and redesigning and hopes to compete in the 2021 competition.
