Our plan is to launch Shop Class this fall in our 25,000 square foot building located in East Henderson. We will teach local high school students the fundamentals of the construction industry while they construct a Tiny Home,
To make this vision a reality, financial support is vital, and the generosity of donors like yourself can help cover the initial startup costs. These costs will cover needs like funding the building, setting up the space to accommodate the Shop Class needs, purchasing necessary tools, equipment, and safety gear, and securing qualified instructors or mentors.
By donating to this cause, you are investing in the future of local high school students and the construction industry. The hands-on experience gained through Shop Class will not only equip students with practical skills but also inspire them to pursue careers in construction and related fields. Furthermore, the program can contribute to the overall development of the community by fostering economic growth, job opportunities, and a skilled workforce.
Together, with your support and the commitment of The Gibson McGath Foundation, this Shop Class initiative can positively impact the lives of high school students and contribute to the growth and development of the local community.
